Laurey (L.F.) Patten and Carol Berg
At the Broadway Book Mall
200 S. Broadway, Denver

At the afternoon's reading and signing event, L.F. Patten will introduce you to her new novel, The Talent Sinistral. It's the initial volume in a planned series of heroic fantasy adventure. You can read more about it at Dathana.com, the Sinistral series homepage, which though under construction already offers a tantalizing taste of the world of Patten's novels.

Patton, in addition to being an author, is also an artist and instructor in clay and jewelry. She teaches at the Washington Heights Arts Center in Lakewood. You can see some of her work at the Co-op Gallery at the LAC Art Center.

Also at the afternoon event will be Carol Berg. Come get acquainted with her new novel, Dust and Light. Recently featured on John Scalzi's "The Big Idea" guest blog series, Dust and Light is the first novel of her new fantasy duology set in the world of her previous two-volume outing, the Lighthouse Duet. Read the opening chapter here.

Berg was recently interviewed on the podcast SF Signal. That podcast also hosted a Diversity in Genre panel in which she participated back in May. Keep up-to-date with Berg's literary releases and events by reading her blog, Text Crumbs.
