An utterly adorable husky had an exciting day off leash on Wednesday in Clinton, S.C. as he gently padded into the Dollar General Store through sliding doors and "dog lifted" such canine treats as pig ears, beef bones, dog food, and dog treats, reported KCTV 5 News.
It took a little while before the managers at the 1203 South Broad Street store knew they were being puppy pilfered, but when the thefts happened twice within a very short period, it was time to check the store's surveillance video.
And there was the husky named Cato walking in as human customers opened the automatic doors, snatch his merchandise, and then rush out within a minute or two.
Cato obviously wasn't hungry or didn't want to bring attention to his dastardly deeds and was hiding the "ice" until things calmed down, because he was tracked to the back of the store burying the stolen goods.
Cato's human, Holly Darden was quite amused, and told Fox News that Cato had previously been known to sneak into other local businesses.
Clinton Police Department did file a report on Cato, but it was just for fun. Cato is back home now; most likely on house dog arrest. Cato's human did reimburse the General Store for her pooch's misdeeds.
