Four Gopher women are included in Kazmaier top ten

The good news has been released from the USA Hockey Foundation that four members of the Minnesota Gopher women's hockey team will be finalists for the Patty Kazmaier award. The top ten was announced earlier today that has four Gophers on the list as well as two other WCHA players. The Patty Kazmaier award is given to the top women's college hockey player and will be awarded on March 23rd.

The four Gophers are, Senior Noora Raty, senior Megan Bozek, junior Amanda Kessel, and freshman Hannah Brandt. Bozek is the only defenseman in the top ten, while Raty is the only goalie and Brandt is the only freshman.
