The first two days of the 2012 Four Continents Championships are said and done, with the men's champion being crowned yesterday and the ladies halfway through competition. Canada's Patrick Chan took his second Four Continents title with a decisive win over Japan's Daisuke Takahashi. Americans Ross Miner and Adam Rippon finished third and fourth, respectively.

Another American is in the mix in the ladies' event. Ashley Wagner trails Japan's Mao Asada by just a fraction after the short program. She is ahead of Kanako Murakami, who is in third, and another American, Caroline Zhang, who is in fourth.
