Four arrested in NET raid targeting narcotics and marijuana

The Polk County Police Department’s Narcotics Enforcement Team, announces the arrest of four individuals following an investigation by the Narcotics Enforcement Team into the possession and distribution of illegal narcotics and marijuana.

On the evening of January 23, 2012, agents of the Polk County Police Department’s Narcotics Enforcement Team conducted an undercover operation that resulted in the following arrests.

Samuel Ricardo Thomas
, age 30, of Cedartown, GA.; was charged with possession of schedule III drugs(Hydrocodone), possession of dangerous drugs (Promethazine), drugs not in original container, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and felony possession of marijuana (more than one ounce). Thomas remains in custody at the time of this publication. Five property bonds totaling $17600 have been set.
 
Billy Eugene Brand, age 31, of Cedartown, GA.; was charged with felony conspiracy to purchase marijuana and felony use of a communication device to facilitate a drug transaction. Brand was released the same day on two bonds totaling $10,100.

Kevin Lane Brumit, age 23, of Tallapoosa, GA.; was charged with felony conspiracy to purchase marijuana. Brumit was released the same day on a $5100 property bond.

David Vernon Brumit
, age 52, of Cedartown, GA.; was charged with felony conspiracy to purchase marijuana and felony use of a communication device to facilitate a drug transaction. Brumit was released the same day on two bonds totaling $10,100.
