A 23-year-old man was found shot to death early Labor Day morning in Griffin. And police have arrested four people in connection with his murder.
But so far, they have not released the names of the suspects or the charges they face.
They also have not released a motive for the murder.
Still, the investigation began shortly before 1 a.m. when officers responded to a report of shots fired at 226 Kentucky Ave., according to Griffin police.
Once at the scene, they found Mr. Darrius Shaw dead from at least one gunshot wound, police spokesman Capt. Dwight Jones said. His body has been turned over to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation for an autopsy, police said.
It's unclear what Mr. Shaw, who lived at 301 East Chappell St., was doing on Kentucky Avenue. And it was unclear if there were any witnesses to the shooting.
The four suspects remained at the Spalding County jail Tuesday. Police also have not released their connection, if any, to the victim.
