University of Tennessee-Chattanooga claimed the 2014 Southern Conference wrestling title at Campbell University in Buies Creek, N.C. Saturday night.

With 89 team points, the UTC Mocs won their fourth straight conference crown… and could claim three individual champs: Nick Soto at 133 pounds, and Cory Mock and Levi Clemons at 165 and 174 pounds, respectively. Mock also claimed the tournament's Outstanding Wrestler award.

In second place in the 2014 SoCal standings was the Citadel, with 78.5 points, and two titlewinning wrestlers in Undrakhbayar Khishignyan at 141, and, at 197, Michael Haas.

Host school Campbell placed third, with 54 points, despite not having a single individual champ.

Appalachian State came in fourth with 36 points, and champs Dominic Parisi at 125 pounds, and Dyllan Cottrell at 149.

Other 2014 SoCal champs include Donald Patrick for Davidson at 184, and, at heavyweight, David Devine for Southern Illinois-Edwardsville.

The Southern Conference has 16 automatic qualifiers for the 2014 NCAA Division I Wrestling Championships, being held in Oklahoma City March 20-22.
