Four $10,000 winners announced in Colorado Gives Day drawing

The 13th became lucky for four participants in Colorado Gives Day 2012. The nonprofits were chosen at random to receive $10,000 each in Luck-of-the Draw cash prizes, Community First Foundation announced Wednesday Feb. 13.

The winners were Clothes to Kids of Denver Inc., Colorado Youth for a Change of Denver, Boulder History Museum and Fostering Hope Foundation of Colorado Springs.

First Bank established the Luck of the Draw cash prizes. It is a corporate partner with Community First Foundation, which established Colorado Gives Day in 2010. First Bank also sponsored 10 Colorado Gives Day trivia prizes of $1,000 each, which were awarded to players on Facebook and Twitter in November.

“The generous First Bank prize money will help the winning nonprofits continue to do important work in their communities,” said Marla J. Williams, president and CEO of Community First Foundation in the Wednesday release.

First Bank committed $600,000 to Colorado Gives Day 2012. In addition to the cash prizes, the money fulfilled the First Bank Incentive Fund and helped cover third-party credit card processing fees. It pledged $500,000 in 2011 and $300,000 in 2010.
