True biblical Christianity is based on a few foundational truths that set it apart from any other belief system. These truths are the building blocks on which the Christian faith rests. These truths will be presented one at a time and looked at in more detail.
This is the most distinctive belief of Christianity. Even though Jesus took on flesh and became a man, He was still God. The Bible explains this in a number of passages.
John 10:30 - "I and the Father are one"
Jesus is speaking in this verse and He is telling His disciples that He and the Father are one.
John 1:1 - "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God"
The apostle John is speaking through the power of the Holy Spirit and he is claiming that Jesus is the Word and that the Word is God himself.
John 14:7 - " If you had known Me, you would have known My Father also; from now on you know Him, and have seen Him"
Jesus is speaking in this verse and is claiming that if you know Him and have seen Him, you have also seen the Father.
These are only three of many examples the Bible has to offer to solidify the fact that Jesus is God. This was not a popular view for Jesus to present. In fact, these statements led to the Jewish people trying to kill Him. Therefore, it is absurd to refer to Jesus as a good man or a Prophet. Either He was God in the flesh, or a blasphemer.
