Fou Fou Ha!, a San Francisco-based cartoon performance troupe, which combines improv theater, dance acts, contemporary clowning, drag, burlesque and audience interaction, is embarking on a world premiere May 16th and 17th, 2014 titled “In Living Colors”, at Inner Mission at 2035 Bryant St.
The show will incorporate energetic comedic dance numbers and B-boy dance battles, a transformative theatrical journey a la Alice in Wonderland meets The Forbidden Zone, live projection mapping on 3D pop-up sets, original costume design and an audience interactive experience.
This show will be an “only in San Francisco” experience sure to make you want to shake your money maker. “In Living Colors” takes the audience and cast on a journey from a repressed land of black and white through a portal into the Fou Dimension, a psychedelic gender blending land of unabashed expression.
Booty shaking tunes will accompany this playful show, including music by Opiou, Tipper, Lucianna, Yma Sumac, Caravan Palace, Squirrel Nut Zippers, The Klown, Dj Delachaux and JsinJ.
There will be a gallery exposition both nights with artwork and photography by Eric Gillet, Scott Shnell, Lee Harvey Roswell and Jeff Peterson.
Tickets are being sold through Eventbrite for $25, and $30 at the door.
