Colorado cops say Tasered 10-year-old boy was ‘out of control’
By Daniel Tencer

The Raw Story
For at least the second time in three weeks, police officers have shocked an unruly 10-year-old child, and, once again, the child's adult guardians are supporting the move.
Sheriff's deputies in Pueblo, Colorado, Tasered a 10-year-old boy after arriving at the child's home Monday evening, after the boy had threatened them with a stick and a length of pipe. As of Thursday evening, the boy remained in a youth jail, according to KCNC channel 4 in Denver.
The deputies involved described the boy as an "out-of-control juvenile."
The Colorado incident follows a similar case last month, when a 10-year-old girl in Ozark, Arkansas, was Tasered after kicking an approaching officer in the groin. In that case, the girl's mother had suggested to the officer that he use a Taser.
While the foster father of the Colorado boy didn't recommend using the Taser, he did support the officers' decision.

In the case of the Ozark girl who was aggressively attacking the officer, what should that officer have done? I don't know the full circumstances of the Colorado boy (the article didn't exactly explain what was going on there). But with the Ozark girl-- she was assaulting the officer. I'm interested in knowing what you think the officer should have done.
I'm glad you are doing this column. SOMEONE needs to pay attention to the outrageous abuse of power and destructive behavior of the CPS offices in this country. They are destroying families over things like a messy house! There are teens who are mad they couldn't go to a concert, so they scream "abuse". No questions asked, they just take the kids. I'm sure you know I could go on and on. It is so out of control. Parents are losing all of their rights.
I don't disagree with these officials being there to protect children, but that's NOT what they are doing!
I am subscribing to your articles. Good luck.
To Heather-
Ohh...my...gawd.
What we have here is another Vicious Circle. Nobody can spank these brats and they get away with raising holy hell until they get so far out of control, the cops get called.
So that girl in the Ozarks even attacked a cop. A genuine princess for sure.
And the cops can't spank them either. Tasing just fine, but only if done by a cop. If the kid dies from the tasing, it's just too bad.
Is there anybody left in the United States who is capable of discerning Cause and Effect?
By the way, I expect the arrogant rabid anti-spankers to show up here pretty soon and blather about hate crimes and what-not.
It is so much fun sparring with them. I can't wait.
To "Margie Salem Libertarian Examiner"-
By an odd coincidence, I lived my entire life honorably and ethically with the intention of running for Oregon State Rep or Senator as a Libertarian when I got older.
I didn't count on a 100% heath crash. The crazy idea has crossed my mind a couple times to run a campaign from my hospital bed hooked to my oxygen machines. And then cyber-commute to the sessions if I were elected. Haw, haw, haw.
I am now a card-carrying member of the Constitution Party. I have a "1776 attitude".
some info
this is not the first time police have been called about this child
what options do they have with cases like this?
They were called to the foster home of Daniel Biby because an out of control juvenile was reported to be destroying property. When the sheriff deputies arrived at the home, they found the 10-year-old threatening and out-of-control. He said that the boy threatened Biby with a pipe and stick and threw pieces of wood at him. He ran from the deputies carrying a piece of pipe and ended up in a neighbors yard, cornered between a camper, a boat and a fence. He continued to defy the officers and refused to comply with their commands to drop the pipe.
To "dailylarrna"-
Unfortunately, this country has been driven so far into the toilet that not many people know what the answers to creating a sane, civil society.
As for this boy's behavior, my own step-son behaved exactly like that. And even worse. I was never allowed to "fix his little red wagon" but still got blamed for "making him that way".

Message continues next message, which is a quote from Charles Colson
**Continued from below**
"Any society that hopes to survive as a free society has to have a moral code that the vast majority of citizens embrace. It is naive to say that everyone is able to do whatever is right in his or her own eyes and then be astonished by the moral chaos that follows. The death of a common morality threatens our very liberty, because without individual conscience, society cannot be held in check except through coercion.
But even coercion ultimately fails. There is no police force large enough to keep an eye on every individual. "This country ought to have, when it is healthy and when it is working as it is intended to work, 250 million policemen -- called conscience," says Michael Novak. "When there are 250 million consciences on guard, it's surprising how few police are needed on the streets." -- Charles Colson

Has anyone ever considered that possibly the child, as most are, was abused or raped while in state custody?

Poor children. We must save American children from the government which has become increasingly fond of kidnapping and torturing children in "undisclosed locations" in state custody, 80 + percent of the time based on false and/or unsubstantiated allegations made up by socialist workers who work for the state who gets federal bonuses ONLY IF for increases in removals.
6,000 children in Pennsylvania falsely incarcerated by JUDGES who are given immunity to commit crimes against children! See the "Cash for Kids" Juvenile Court Scandal that is rocking "America". Wake up people!
All children experience extreme trauma, anxiety, and confusion when abruptly separated from their parents by CPS. They then drug them - more money for the state contracted psychs (conflicts of interest). This is paid for by your social security benefits (why the system is broke). Social Security Act Title IV.
