Foster Families; Life-changing event ! Part 1 / 4

Foster Families; Life-changing event !

Part 1 of 4

In this series, we are going to explore the life of one foster parent.

Scenario; the woman in our story chose to become a foster parent because she herself experienced the life-changing event imposed by this corrupt system as a foster child; she never got over the trauma of strangers invading her home, a place where she felt safe. She understands children suffer serious trauma when they find themselves removed from warm beds in the middle of the night taken out of their homes by police officers strangers telling them that everything is going to be all right, no it has never been all right again.

Her parents like thousands of parents all over the nation stood helpless to stop social workers (CPS) and police officers from destroying her family. Becoming a foster parent is her way of offering hope to children who have experienced similar trauma children who are; forced to talk to counselors, psychologists because a social worker said she was unable to deal with trauma. The only trauma this little girl ever suffered being “the best interests of the children”. This foster child was fortunate, the foster home they placed her in was one with sincere caring foster parents who love her even adopted her.

b. is CPS approaching protection with the wrong goals and objectives.

  • Translation;  CPS inflicts the trauma in the first place.

Logic dictates this question; if continued protection inflicts more trauma than the trauma inflicted by the parents is this protection? Is money a righteous motive?

Possible answer; in the story of our foster parent were her parents abusive no they were not? Her family was experiencing financial problems because her father lost his job, her mother working in a restaurant not making enough to pay all of the bills; consequently this families electricity shut of.

Question; is this a case of abuse, neglect or financial difficulties?

Although, no one can be sure who sounded the alarm with an anonymous call to the convenient child abuse hotline, she remembers the argument her father had with her aunt, and that her parents had been arguing a lot over money. Did she tell the social workers that her aunt thretened to call and report her father for not letting the children live with her, her aunt may have lied about her family, does this scenario sound familiar?
