Please understand that preparing your case is no guarantee that you will win, it is hard work, no one has one of our team to do the work for you, no free rides around here. We will show you how to do the work, but you will complete the work yourself, called "Pro Se".
If you find an educational resource, one that is able to answer your questions, that is people who are both knowledgable and willing to offer you instuction, you too can become an advocate on behalf of yourself, and more importantly your children.
Once you understand the legal jargon, understand subjects like we have listed above, you too will be able to better stand up for yourself, know your rights as well as the rights of your children, you will know what to do in most situations, not only for yourself but on behalf of others, this is advocacy.

2. What is "In Loco Parentis? As parents, either Foster or Biological, we have all experienced our child (ren) handing us a permission slip,usually at the last minute, in order for them to be able to go on a school field trip with their class, ! Did you ever stop to think about why one was needed?
3. The CPS Hotline; what exactly is that? If you are a foster parent, you know the answer to this question. Just about any parent in America can answer this question. The Hotline is a nightmare waiting to happen to your family.
4. When you become a foster parent, the subject of allegations too many times is frequently by passed. The subject comes up in almost all the training classes, but no one seems to address it. You are "Guilty until proven innocent".
5. Do you remember our rules of teaching? What, Why, and How! In this series we are going to explore the world of What: "Administrative Law" is. How, when you walked through this door? Answer; the day you signed up to hang your foster care license with your current Agency.
6. If the allegation; is a violation of the rules and regulations of your agency, depending on what the allegation consists of, they may decide to offer you a C.A.P.
7. It is Unconstitutional. This Examiner believes it is urgent that foster parents, all across our Nation gain knowledge on this critical issue. Knowing how this can affect them but also, the well-being of their entire family is imperative. "The state child abuse registry"

9. Frequently we become aware of alarming situations that need opened up for discussion. The title of this series of articles "Empty Nest Syndrome" we are exposing one of those dangerous situations. Someone needs to speak up on this issue.
10. Foster Parents; Are you tired of discovering what you don't know the hard way? Have you had allegations filed on you, and no one bothered to tell you this ""storm called allegations" was heading your way"? Trainings offered today for foster parents are often uniformative and simply do not prepare you for the reality you will face as a licensed foster parent.
