A 34 year old Texas woman sought out treasure over the weekend and never returned home. Her destination: Bandelier National Monument. She was hunting for the hidden treasure from the Santa Fe Antiquities trader. She was found in a rough area, on the Ancho Canyon trial.
The woman had called her boyfriend telling him she would be back in Texas on Friday. Friday came and went and still no girlfriend. Her boyfriend then decided to cal the police. The woman had actually left Bandelier on Thursday and parked at the US Department of Energy to hike down the Rio Grande and up the Falls trail. When it started to rain and got dark she took shelter under a rock.
The temperatures were down in the 30's over the weekend and rescuers were concerned about the woman's health.
The woman went out to the site on the basis of a book written in 2011 that outlined the way to the treasure. The former antiques dealer supposedly buried
