If you live in the Fort Worth area of the Metroplex, or would just like an adventure for you and your dog, Fort Woof dog park is a must see! Located at 3220 Botanic Garden Boulevard , there are two things that set this park apart from others.
The first is an agility course with features like the dog walk, tunnels, and jump. The park, like others, is separated into small dog and big dog areas. The jump height and size of the tunnels are suited to the size of the dog type in the area. If your agility dog wants some extra practice, or you just want to test out your non agility dog on the equipment, Fort Woof is perfect.
The second, and possibly most exciting for busy pet owners, is the park hours. While most parks are open from dawn to dusk, Fort Woof opens at 5am and stays open until 11:30pm. The park is lighted which means you and your pooch can go for a romp even when you get home from work late and there isn't enough daylight left. However, "lighted" seems a relative term. There areas of the park which are not very well lit and it is easy to lose sight of your dog. So do not expect football stadium lighting, rather expect a few extra light poles than normal parks.
Fort Woof is also the first off-leash park in Fort Worth. It is definitely worth checking out!
