Fort Wayne Children's Zoo voted #1 Indiana Attraction

The Fort Wayne Children's Zoo was voted Indiana's #1 Gotta-Do Summer Attraction in a statewide contest sponsored by the Indiana Office of Tourism Development.

As homeschoolers, we already know that the Fort Wayne Zoo is one of the best zoos in the country. But Hoosiers have confirmed it by casting 10,800 votes for the zoo out of dozens of nominated attractions across the state.

The zoo is also one of the nation's Top 10 zoos for kids.

The Fort Wayne TinCaps, the local minor league baseball team, placed second in the contest.

"We are proud to be Indiana's top destination for families," says Fort Wayne Children's Zoo Director Jim Anderson. "Thanks to everyone who cast their vote for the zoo!"

The zoo offers 1,500 amazing animals and is an adventure for the whole family. It is opened daily from 9-5. Admission is FREE for babies age 1 and under, $10.50 for Seniors ages 60 and over, $8.50 for ages 2-14 and $13.50 for adults. Parking is free.
