On Feb. 18, 2014, the Fort Myers Film Festival (FMff) announced that the gala's opening night film for their upcoming event, held in Fort Myers, Fla., has been selected. The gala will begin on March 19, 2014.

"The opening night film for the 4th annual Fort Myers Film Festival will be 'Alive Inside: A Story of Music & Memory.' - Eric Raddatz

The chosen film is an indie film about the treatment of Alzheimer's patients through music. The film earned the Sundance Film Festival Audience Award for U.S. documentaries for January 2014.
