Fort Morgan UMC honors graduating seniors with scholarships

Five seniors from Fort Morgan United Methodist Church received scholarships to help them begin their college careers in Colorado, while five additional students received renewals of existing scholarships.

Fort Morgan UMC has been granting scholarships to graduating seniors for seven years. In total, 29 graduating seniors have been granted scholarships, and 13 continuing students have been able to renew. The scholarships have totaled more than $70,000.

Scholarships are granted to students who participate in church activities on a regular basis. Academic achievements, school activities and volunteer work are also considered in the individual applications. Recipients are studying a variety of subjects from education to engineering, at schools both in Colorado and elsewhere.
