Doug D'Agostino, 31, an Airman stationed at the U.S. Army post of Fort Bragg, N.C. was charged yesterday, June 23, with multiple sex offenses that involved an underage girl.

According to arrest warrants, the sex offenses include statutory rape, indecent liberties with a child and sexual offense of a child. The arrest warrants alleged the victim was just 13 years old and the acts are believed to have taken place between January and March of this year.

There was no information regarding how the victim came in contact with the perpetrator, if she was contacted online or if she was an extended family member.

D’Agostino, no rank listed, lives in the 7600 block of Galena Drive in Fayetteville and voluntarily surrendered to authorities yesterday. The sexual predator is being held at the Cumberland County Detention Center on Gillespie Street in Fayetteville, under a $20,000 bond. He assigned to the 43rd Aircraft Maintenance Squadron at Pope Army Airfield.

In North Carolina, statutory rape is a Class B1 felony and carries a maximum prison sentence of twelve years. There are special circumstances for rape of a child under the age of 16.
