The 4th Annual Auto Show brought large crowds outside to downtown Forney on Sunday, November 13th. Dozens of cars, trucks and motorcycles were displayed for the public’s viewing pleasure. The annual event has grown tremendously since it began and is much anticipated every November by local residents.
Whether you wanted to see muscle cars or classic Americana automobiles, they were there. Almost more impressive than the work that went into renovating the cars, were the looks of pride on the faces of the owner’s. Even more admirable was that all the vehicle entry fees and canned goods that were collected benefitted the New Life Food Pantry in Forney. Though the event was free to the public, additional canned foods and donations were accepted.
If you wanted a break from looking at the beautiful automobiles, you could take in some of the live music that was provided or stop by any of the vendor’s booths to browse and shop. Hunger was no problem as the food provided was extensive. If you craved Mexican food, corn dogs, BBQ or even fried Oreos, you could find it at the outdoor auto show. Kids were clamoring to get to the bounce house and other activities provided for the little ones.
