The Chicago Tribune reported today that former WWE and TNA wrestling champion Lisa Marie Varon is jumping into the reality TV genre with a pilot episode that started production earlier this week at her wrestling-themed pizza and burger restaurant the Square Circle in Chicago.
Cameras started rolling on the yet-to-be-named reality show this past Sunday when the SQC was showing the WWE Hell in a Cell pay per view to a packed house of wrestling fans and pizza lovers. The pilot is being produced by American Mass Media, which produces "Harcore Pawn: Chicago" for Tru TV.
Varon opened the restaurant in March, with big screens and bigger eats. She had previously owned a pizzeria in Louisville, KY and a hot dog stand in Lombard, IL. Unlike a lot of other celebrity owned eateries, Varon is regularly at the restaurant interacting directly with fans and patrons. The Squared Circles draws turn-away crowds for big WWE pay per views every month and you can also catch all the weekly TV wrestling shows inside the restaurant located right off the corner of Fullerton and Ashland.
