One of the top defensive tackles on the open market, Earl Mitchell boarded a flight to Miami to visit the Dolphins, and never looked back.

The Dolphins agreed with Mitchell to a four-year, $16 million deal, with $9 million in guaranteed salary.

For a quick 300 pound tackle, Mitchell has a great opportunity to flourish in a 4-3 defense that caters to him.

A third round pick out of Arizona, last season became a starter for the first time in his four year career.

Due to salary cap restrictions, Mitchell was already expected to leave the Texans for another team with more cap room.
