This is the former teen idol’s third drunken driving offense, according to CNN.

Cassidy, 63, blew .19% -- twice the legal level -- on an alcohol test administered by the California Highway Patrol officer who stopped the singer-actor's rented Chevrolet Impala, according to a CHP statement Saturday.

The statement from CHP went on to state that the incident occurred near LAX, just off the 405 Freeway, when Cassidy made an illegal “No Right Turn On Red” at a red light.

When police stopped the “I think I Love You” former pop star, the officer noticed "the odor of an alcoholic beverage” coming from Cassidy’s vehicle. David Cassidy was alone in the car at the time of his traffic stop and resulting arrest.

Cassidy’s two previous DUIs occurred in Aug. 2013 in N.Y., and Nov. 2010 in Fla.

David Cassidy was born to celebrity acting parents Jack Cassidy and Evelyn Ward in 1950. David described his father Jack Cassidy as an alcoholic and one suffering from bipolar disorder, David wrote in his 1994 autobiography, “C'Mon, Get Happy.”

During the time “The Partridge Family” ran on TV from 1970 – 1974, David Cassidy turned his popularity from that show into a hugely successful solo career, performing at sold out concerts and embarking on his own recording and singing career.

David was released from jail several hours after being arrested on Friday on a $15,000 bond.
