Andrea Cardosa, a former teacher and school administrator in Riverside, Calif., was charged with sexual assault on Feb. 3, 2014 after a link to a YouTube video of a young woman claiming she was abused by the educator was sent to a local school district, according to KABC 7.
Cardosa was charged with “16 felony counts of aggravated sexual assault on a child under the age of 14, lewd acts on a child under the age of 14, and lewd acts on a child 14 or 15 years of age…” reports KABC.
According to the Epoch Times, the YouTube footage shows the woman, Jamie Carillo, now 28, making a phone call to Cardosa to confront her about the alleged abuse she claims began when she was just 12-years-old.
Carillo appeared on ABC’s “The View” last week and spoke about what she alleges took place.
After the video went viral, another woman alleging Cardosa abused her came forward as well.
According to KABC, as of Monday afternoon, Cardosa was not yet in custody.
