Luke Hughes, (Australia) and Pedro Figueroa, (Dominican Republic) who were both on the River Cats 2012 division championship team, will represent their countries when the international tournament opens. Teams that advance to the second round will play in Tokyo, Japan March 8-12 and Miami, Florida March 12-16 respectively. AT&T Park, home of the World Champion San Francisco Giants, will host the semifinals and finals March 17-19.

Other former River Cats players to make rosters are Trystan Magnuson, Santiago Casilla, Fernando Cabrera and Chris Denforia.

The River Cats regular season opens April 4, when they take on the Las Vegas 51s at Raley Field.
