“RHONY” Jill Zarin and Bethenny Frankel were the best of friends, almost sisters, until the “I’m done!” heard round the world. Frankel moved on to her own reality show and Zarin was fired from “The Real Housewives of New York.
Bethenny Frankel has again moved on, not only from her marriage to Jason Hoppy, but from reality television, to a self-titled talk show. Low ratings prompted Bethenny’s people to contact former friend Jill Zarin and ask her to make an appearance on the show. According to a report on Oct. 7 by Kpopstarz.com Jill Zarin refused the invitation.
Even though Frankel feels pressure from network executives and the possibility of “Bethenny” being canceled, she “absolutely refused” to contact Jill Zarin herself and brushed the task off on the show’s schedulers. The Skinny Girl mogul was stunned when she was informed that Jill Zarin had refused the invitation.
The powers that be behind “Bethenny” suggested that Frankel reach out to Zarin and make a personal request to her former best friend. Despite the fact that Jill’s appearance on the show would generate an enormous amount of publicity and would be a guaranteed ratings boost, Bethenny again refused to reach out to Zarin personally.
Sources say that Jill Zarin refused the offer because the show’s producers offered her $400 for her appearance, which is well below the SAG minimum.
