Is former reality TV star Alexis Bellino returning to TV? Possibly. On Thursday, June 12, the former star of "The Real Housewives of Orange County" posted a photo of herself looking tired after a long day of filming.
The photo shows Alexis with a friend sitting down in a restaurant booth. The caption states that they had a long day of filming on Wednesday, June 11, and so deserved their dinner. She included the hashtag "backtowork," as well as "la" and "ca[n]twaittoshare," indicating that she and her friend were in Los Angeles filming and that her fans will soon know about her new project.
Several fans wrote in to ask what she filmed and to express their excitement that she's coming back to TV. Even her former co-star Lydia McLaughlin chimed in, saying that it looks like Alexis had fun.
Alexis was on "The Real Housewives of Orange County" for four seasons, from season four through season eight. After season eight ended, it was announced that Alexis, along with Gretchen Rossi, was not going to return. Newbie Lydia McLaughlin, who came in as Alexis friend, then announced that she was leaving in order to concentrate on other opportunities and have another baby. Taking their place for the current season nine are Shannon Beador and Lizzie Rovsek, as well as Danielle Gregorio as a friend of the housewives.
Alexis' friend-turned-enemy Gretchen quickly returned to TV by joining "Marriage Boot Camp: Reality Stars" with her fiance Slade Smiley. The show currently airs on WE tv on Friday nights and Gretchen has been doing a lot of press to promote the show as well as her own brand. In one interview, she said that she's open to joining "The Real Housewives of Orange County" again if the show changes for the better.
Alexis Bellino, meanwhile, has kept a more low-key profile, spending most of her time with family and friends. She has, however, kept in contact with some of her former co-stars. She met up with Lydia in mid-May for dinner and drinks and just a few weeks ago, went out to dinner with Vicki Gunvalson.
