Former President Bill Clinton is coming to a rally in support of Virg Bernero

On October 24, 2010, former President Bill Clinton is coming to Detroit for a rally in support of Democratic gubernatorial nominee Virg Bernero.

The rally will be held at Renaissance High School located at 6565 W. Outer Drive in Detroit MI 48235.  The rally will be held in the Renaissance High School gymnasium.  The doors open at 12:00 pm and the program starts at 12:45 pm and will conclude at 3:00 pm.

The event is free and open to the public.

President Clinton will stand side-by-side with Virg Bernero and Brenda Lawrence is a show of support for the campaign of Virg Bernero and their plan to restore, rebuild, and reinvent Michigan.

Remember to vote on November 2, 2010.  The polls are open from 7:00 am to 8:00 pm.

If you are utilizing the absent voter ballot option, remember that ballots must be returned to the City Clerk's Office by 8:00 pm on Election Day in order to be counted. Absentee ballots issued on November 1st must be voted on-site and cannot leave the building per State Election Law.

Note, Michigan election law requires voters to present photo identification prior to voting so please remember to bring photo identification will you when you go to the polls to vote.  However, should you forget to bring photo identification, you will not be denied the right to vote.  Voters without photo identification can sign an affidavit authorizing them to vote.

There will be two sides to the ballot, so remember to vote on the front and back of your ballot.

So don't let the polls numbers, negative ads, or unjust comparisons to past governors of this great state of Michigan keep you from voting.  We have to vote and be involved in the process.  Democratic nominee  Virg Bernero has his own ways and means to restore, rebuild, and reinvent Michigan, so don't compare him to the current governor, Jennifer Granholm who is from the same party; nor should we compare Republican candidate Rick Snyder to John Engler who is from the same party.  They only share party identification.

So as the NAACP say..............................................."Take Your Soles To The Polls".

To report voting problems on Election Day, contact the Detroit Branch NAACP's voting Hotline at (313) 664-2424.

For the sake of Detroiters and the shrinking middle class, I sure hope that voter turnout is high. I hope the mainstreet agenda proclaimed by Virg Bernero is what will propel him to become the next governor of Michigan.

The political ads recently and probably up to election day have become too negative. I'm considering a candidate for governor other that Bernero or Snyder.

I agree with the previous comment about the negative ads, but I tend to research candidates on my own and ignore the ads. As far as the governor's race, I have to go with Virg Bernero. They both have some good ideas, but when I weight it out, I believe that Bernero is more in ready for the task and to help the middle class and working families throughout Michigan.

When I heard Rick Snyder outsourced American jobs to China, that was it for me. We need jobs right here in Michigan. I guess Snyder just doesn't get that.

I bet you that alot of Michigan residents wish they know what they know now about Gov Snyder and could re-cast their vote for Virg Bernero.
