Two years ago Abby Johnson, a Planned Parenthood director in Texas, was so stunned by what she saw in an ultrasound given to a young woman planning an abortion that she experienced a dramatic shift in her views on the sanctity of human life and the policies promoted by the federal government, leading to her resignation from the organization. But her own recent personal experience with a pregnancy has led Johnson to reveal some stunning facts concerning the nation's new healthcare initiative, commonly referred to as 'ObamaCare.'
In a stunning interview with Michael F. Haverluck of WND, published today, Johnson reveals that after the passage of ObamaCare the federal government and private insurance carriers summarily dropped pregnancy and maternity coverage from its plans.
At issue is a 40-year-old memo written by former Planned Parenthood Vice President Frederick Jaffe indicating that the ultimate goal of the organization and the government is to control population growth by discouraging pregnancy and promoting abortion and sterilization.
Johnson says that the infamous 'Jaffe Memo' is like the elephant on the kitchen table at Planned Parenthood. No one is allowed to talk about it, but everyone knows it's there.
But when Johnson discovered that she was pregnant, she also discovered some startling facts concerning healthcare coverage for maternity patients:
...she found out that not only did her insurance plan exclude maternity coverage, she could not find any private insurance companies offering such coverage.
Their answers were not only alike but alarming, she said.
After calling 18 insurance companies, each gave her the same reply: "When Obama enacted his 'health care reform,' he mandated that maternity coverage not be available to any private insurance company."
This made Johnson question if Obamacare is part of the agenda to discourage pregnancy, an agenda that her former employer apparently tried to conceal for decades.
Unless the White House and Congress experience a dramatic change of hands in 2012, all of the various provisions of ObamaCare will become the law of the land in 2013-14.
And when it comes to pregnancy and maternity issues, ObamaCare appears to have taken a page out of the playbook of the Jaffe Memo at Planned Parenthood. Johnson maintains that the concepts contained in the Memo from 1969 are still the organization's ultimate goals today and that the Obama Administration is helping to implement them through official government policy.
What are those ultimate goals?
In a nutshell, the organization and the federal government want population control through unlimited, on-demand abortion and sterilization, even to the point of working toward mandatory abortions and sterilizations. Planned Parenthood receives multi-millions of dollars each year from taxpayers through the federal government.
So determined is Planned Parenthood in implementing its ultimate goals that when Johnson was traumatized after seeing the unborn child struggling for its life inside the womb prior to an abortion 2 years ago, the organization got a gag order to prevent her from discussing the matter or other questionable practices of Planned Parenthood.
Johnson became pro-life and left the organization, but she is determined to fight the federal government's orchestrated plan to promote abortion and sterilization in its ObamaCare law:
"It is time to fight back," she said. "I do not want to live in a communist country. That, of course, would be no problem for Planned Parenthood. … They would end up on top in a communist regime."
Widespread infanticide currently is taking place in communist China, where mothers are allowed to have only one child. In Russia, 73 percent of all pregnancies end up in abortion.
"Just think of what could happen in the next 50 years if pro-lifers don't stand up against this organization," Johnson said. "Forced abortion … it could happen. Limits on children … another possibility."
The original Planned Parenthood memo from Frederick Jaffe in 1969 can be viewed here. The reader will note the goals of the organization which it does not make available to the public. The reader will also note the eery similarity between the Jaffe Memo and the objectives of ObamaCare with regard to pregnancy and maternity patients.
