Former NFL cheerleader, Elizabeth Garner, charged with trying to molest boy, 12

Elizabeth Garner, a married former NFL cheerleader, was arrested for trying to touch the genitals of a 12 year old boy, according to a March 23, 2013 Global Dispatch report.

The alleged offense reportedly took place in the bathroom of the boy’s mother’s home, News Channel 5 reports.

The 42 year old woman is accused of grabbing the child’s penis through his pants and then attempting to perform oral sex on him. The boy immediately told his mother what took place.

The ex-Tennessee Titans cheerleader told police she was drunk and mistook the tween for a grown man at a party, reports the Dispatch.

Murfreesboro Police Dept. spokesperson Kyle Evans told News Channel 5, “That’s just absolutely no excuse for sexual assaulting a child. If you can’t tell the difference between a 12 year old and an adult then there are problems.”

The Dispatch notes that Garner faces charges of solicitation of a minor for rape of a child and aggravated sexual battery. If convicted of the crimes, she could be sentenced to 8 years behind bars.

Garner disputes the charges and was released on $30,000 bond.
