March 22nd, 2011--Former New York Giants superstar, and 1999 Hall of Famer, Lawrence Taylor is now a convicted sex offender.
The married 52-year-old was sentenced to six years probation for having sex with an underage prostitute. He must also register as a sex offender.
The victim, identified as Christina Fierro, denies that she is a prostitute and is unhappy with the sentence, feeling it should have been more severe. On May 6, 2010, the sixteen year old met Taylor at a Holiday Inn where he says he paid her $300 for sex. A pimp named Rasheed Davis forced Fierro to meet Taylor, says prosecutor Patricia Gunning.
A hearing will be held on April 12th to determine what level of sex offender Taylor will be. As a sex offender he is prohibited from viewing pornography, visiting sex stores, and being in contact with children, except for with his 5-year-old son.
