Former MTV VJ Rikki Rachtman opens new Club in LA

Faster Pussycat, Guns ‘n Roses, L.A. Guns, and Jetboy. Those were some iconic bands who had their first time performances at an iconic club known as the Cathouse. It was LA, 1986 when dirty rock and rockers ruled the LA music scene at its height. Lita Ford and Ted Nugent were just some of the guests to hang out at the Cathouse. This legendary L.A. club was the brainchild of Rikki Rachtman and partner in crime Taime Downe. Fast forward to 2013 (Feb. 13 to be exact) and you can be among the first to experience FUC Karaoke. Rikki Rachtman and Taime Downe (of Faster Pussycat) are back at it again and team up to open a new club in LA.

The club Scene in LA is not what it used to be. There were many iconic venues and on the top of that list was the Cathouse. FUC Karaoke is not the Cathouse, but with Rikki and Taime behind the scenes, it is sure to be on the same level of greatness.

Rikki stated on his Facebook page “In my opinion there is another reason why we are going to pull out all the stops on FUC Karaoke. It has to do with ego. The work I did with Cathouse and Bordello was of the same work ethic Taime had with Faster Pussycat and his new company Face Down. We really want to do something nobody else has and do it down & dirty but not in some lame cliche way. If you think our priorities are to make money you are mistaken. We really want to do something that is totally different from what anyone else has done. Most important we want people to really have a cool time. We want people dancing people singing at the top of their lungs. Don't think for a second this is just some Karaoke bar. Not even close. Its a rock dance club just like Cathouse and Bordello. Taime and myself will dj and sometimes we will have guest dj’s. We want you all to dance. We may have a comic a few gogo dancers who knows.”

FUC Karaoke is not the Cathouse and one of the biggest differences is the size of the club. FUC Karaoke is a smaller club, and there will be no velvet rope, no cover charge, and if there is a line it is because the club is asses to elbows tight.

You can be art of this epic moment in the club/music scene. The club has its grand-opening on Wed. Feb. 13th at7994 Santa Monica Blvd., West Hollywood, California 90046. Be there early and get ready to have the ultimate club experience. Who knows it might be on a night that Riki himself is being dj. Now that would be the whip cream of the club experience.
