The former Mayor of Sheboygan, Wisconsin, Bob Ryan, has truly set the bar as an example of political narcissism 20-months after being convicted of disorderly conduct after an incident in an Elkhart Lake bar, he was arrested Sunday and charged with driving under the influence.
Prior to his Sunday arrest, Bob Ryan had already acquired a reputation for public intoxication.
On Saturday, July 23, 2011 in the Village of Elkhart Lake, WI at Siebkens Resort bar between the hours of 11:00p.m. and midnight an official report was filed regarding the Mayor’s behavior. Her name was withheld from the report but her friend sitting beside her was a witness to the proceeding events.
A man in the establishment approached a woman sitting down and coming up behind her he put his arms around her and proceeded to squeeze her breasts. He then proceeded to do this a second time even though the woman was clearly upset and told the man to stop, using expletives and body language to show her distress as written in the police report.
The man was recognized as Mayor Bob Ryan, who was eventually charged with a Class A Misdemeanor for a Fourth Degree Sexual Assault in this incident. He was eventually fined $770.00 for two misdemeanor counts of disorderly conduct.
During the incident at Siebkens bar, Ryan referenced his status as mayor and implied that he could do whatever he wanted since he held a position of political power.
On March 3, 2013 Bob Ryan was arrested again for Driving under the Influence of Alcohol.
