Former Jay-Z rivals Nas and Mobb Deep set to record joint album

It seems as though Nas and Mobb Deep will soon be working on a joint release. After years of beef with both each other and some very high profile drama between them and Jay-Z, things now seem to be moving in a different direction. Locally there has always been a debate over who was the best MC, Nas or Jay-Z and Mobb Deep had its own group of support also. The question is with the drama long since over, will you guys support a joint record between Nas and M-O-B-B?

Recently Mobb Deep and Nas teamed up for a song tittled "Dog Sh--t," the first joint recorded after the two made nice after their own beef. Havoc of Mobb Deep had this to say during a Rock the Bells 2011 press conference, "We’re gonna do a Mobb Deep and Nas album. It hasn't’t begun but we tipped the iceberg a little bit with the 'Dog Sh--.' I think as we was working, doing songs back and forth with Nas recently, I think it was just a mutual thought, like, 'Yo, let’s make a f---ing album.' Everybody was like, 'Yeah, that would be dope. F--- it, what we waiting for? Let’s do it.'" according to HipHopDX.

Prodigy of Mobb Deep told MTV news in may, "We put that aside and was like, 'All right, let's start doin' some music.' We had the 'Dog Sh--' and made a couple of other joints that's crazy," he said. However, when MTV News anchor Sway spoke to Nas, the Queens Bridge MC did not seem so sure about the future of an entire album release, "At the moment, I just got back into the studio, and my focus right now has been just starting to work on the (solo) album, so who knows?" he said. That's not a direct no so it does seem possible a Nas and Mobb Deep joint venture could take place.

Do you think Mobb Deep and Nas will finish and put out a full length album? Voice your opinion and leave a comment below. Also be sure and subscribe to stay up to date.
