Former Governor Charlie Crist (D-FL) is scheduled to address a packed audience as keynote speaker for the Greater Hollywood Chamber of Commerce’s Business Leaders Awards Luncheon on Friday, according to The Miami Herald.
The luncheon, which starts at 12 noon promptly, will be held at the Westin Diplomat Resort and Spa, in Hollywood. The Chamber will recognize local leaders and businesses that have gone over and above in their support of the Hollywood community. The 2013 board of directors will also be sworn in by former Florida Attorney General Bob Butterworth.
The Greater Hollywood Chamber of Commerce has represented local business interests, promoted economic growth, provided leadership in community affairs and has delivered services and programs for members since 1926. Whether by attending their 230 networking opportunities, educational seminars, leads groups or through social media, the Chamber is becoming better known for their promotion of members, local businesses and the City of Hollywood as a tourist destination.
Crist – Florida’s former Republican Governor turned Independent U.S. Senate candidate – recently joined the Democratic Party. He is widely seen by many as the leading Democrat to challenge current Governor Rick Scott (R-FL) in 2014.
Registration for the Business Leaders Awards Luncheon begins at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, March 1st at the Westin Diplomat Resort and Spa, 3555 S. Ocean Drive, Hollywood. The awards ceremony will start at noon.
