Former GOP Senate candidate equates conservative activists with KKK members

Former Senatorial candidate Gabriel Gomez equated two conservative activists to Ku Klux Klan members on Facebook, as reported today by one of the targets of the attack, Rob "EaBo Clipper" Eno, of RedMassGroup today.

There are constitutional conservatives, and then there are establishment republicans. Gomez clearly falls into the latter catagory.

His unprovoked attack, since deleted, read:

"I thank God every day for people like Chris Pinto and Rob Eno because they serve as perfect examples for my kids of who and what not to be when they grow up...the level of ignorance and intolerance exhibited by them and their small 'Klan' are an embarrassment to our civil society. Merry Christmas."

But screenshots last forever.

GoLocalWorcester picked up the story, noting that Rob Eno is a writer for "the influential blog RedMassGroup" and Chris Pinto is a "Worcester GOP official." Not surprisingly, the article observed,

"...when Gomez was a candidate for U.S. Senate against ultimate winner Ed Markey, Gomez actively sought the support of the Worcester GOP and RedMassGroup."

Talk show host Michael Graham also discussed the attack and pointed to a post he wrote in February warning that Gomez was not a conservative candidate. Graham was right.
