A former Republican official decided to take to his Twitter account to rant against transgender Americans, the LGBT community and others.
Todd Kincannon is the former executive director of the South Carolina Republican Party and has been known to have strong opinions on the typical targets of Tea Party Republicans. Kincannon suggested that transgender Americans should be "put in a camp" or "locked up in mental institutions."
"There are people who respect transgender rights. And there are people who think you should all be put in a camp. That's me."
"I have plenty of compassion for trannies. They should all be locked up in mental institutions and their care paid for by the state."
This isn't the first time that Kincannon has spoken out against transgender Americans or other groups that are often a target by radical right-wing groups. Earlier this month, Kincannon stated on his Twitter account that he hated trannies, commies and Muslims.
"I have no problem with gays but I hate trannies. I think they are disgusting freaks, and they are. Am I evil?"
"The only things I hate these days are commies, trannies, and most Muslims."
The South Carolina Republican party attempted to distance themselves from him earlier this year after Kincannon commented during the Super Bowl that “It hasn't been this dark in the Superdome since all those poors occupied it after Hurricane Katrina.” Kincaccon also once referred to former Democrat Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi a "c**t."
