Former Gamecock Brinkley gets the start for the Vikings

Jasper Brinkley will be joining fellow Gamecock Sidney Rice in the starting lineup for the Minnesota Vikings when they take on the surprisingly good Cincinnati Bengals this Sunday.  This unfavorable matchup has actually led me to sit Bengals RB Cedric Benson in my fantasy football league.

Brinkley will start in place of E.J. Henderson, who is out with his annual injured somethingorother.  Henderson, who is a beast when healthy, is kind of like Bob Sanders of the Colts- you always here people talking about how good he is, and then you see a camera shot of him standing on the sidelines wearing warmups and a beanie.

Brinkley, a fan favorite at Carolina for his ability to strike fear into the hearts of his opponents, his cool haircuts, and his all around badassittude, has only played special teams and in blowout relief so far this season.  Keep an eye out for him wearing number 54 this Sunday.

This is one game I will definately watch. I've been cheering Farve and Sidney Rice and Peterson on all year long and now I get to cheer on another favorite of mine. I wonder how many times Brinkley will get to Palmer on his first outing :) Go Pro Gamecocks!!! We really have a good group of guys in the NFL right now and we got a couple more really good ones that'll get drafted this year I think. I can't wait to see how Norwood does in the NFL!
