Sure there is plenty to take care of in the world of Fringedom with season three of Fringe leaving fans in one of the biggest lurches in television history, but there is other work to be done. That includes for those no longer working on the show and that includes writer Brad Caleb Kane.
Kane co-produced or wrote 20 episodes of Fringe from 2008-2010 and he also worked on the short-lived television series Crash, but he has now been chosen by 20th Century Fox to pen the script for the Daredevil reboot. The comic book film based on a blind superhero will be directed by David Slade.
Slade is known for his work on 30 Days of Night and The Twilight Saga: Eclipse.
Not many know this, but Kane was also the singing voice for Disney's Aladdin in the different films starring the ragamuffin prince.
Word right now from The Hollywood Reporter is that Kane's script will adapt Frank Miller and David Mazzucchelli's "Born Again" storyline. It ran in Daredevil issues #227-233 back in 1986.
The plot for that series of comics involves an intense personal attack on Matt Murdock's (Daredevil's daily alter-ego) friends and family. This is all following the Kingpin having learned of his true identity as the justice-serving Daredevil.
