Beginning October 29, the audiobook version of "Frankenstein" will go on sale for classic horror fans. In the spirit of Halloween, Audible is releasing Mary Shelley’s mysteriously eerie novel, “Frankenstein,” narrated by British stage and screen actor Dan Stevens, formerly of "Downton Abbey."
Dan Stevens is best known for his former role as Matthew Crawley on the PBS hit series, “Downton Abbey,” and he gives a haunting performance as he depicts the supernatural tale of Victor Frankenstein. No stranger to this classic work, Dan Stevens was featured in a TV mini-series of Frankenstein, playing the role of protagonist, Henry Clerval, in 2004.
The “Frankenstein” audiobook is eight hours and 35 minutes long and is free with a 30-day trial membership or $19.95 for non-members, perfect to listen to as the Halloween preparations commence.
