Former ‘Days’ star sings the blues

Michigan acting coach, writer, actor, and former ‘Days of our Lives’ (ex Bart) star Steve Blackwood invites you to enjoy an evening of jazz and blues in Birmingham.

The Steve Blackwood Quartet will perform Sunday October 21 at 5pm at the First Baptist Church in Birmingham, Michigan. The church is located at 300 Willits Street, a block north of Maple and a block west of Old Woodward.

The concert is free but a $10 donation per person is suggested. Free parking is available. You can call the First Baptist Church at 248-644-0550.

Blackwood spent 10 years playing the quirky ‘Bart’ on ‘Days.’ After his character was killed off, the actor returned home to Michigan.

Among his many projects, Blackwood appeared in the much anticipated film ‘Machine Gun Preacher’ starring Gerard Butler, Kathy Baker, and Michelle Monaghan. Portions of the film were shot in the Metro Detroit area.

Blackwood is currently filming ‘Beyond the Mask’ right here in Michigan.
