According to Maryland Corrections Officials, on Monday former Baltimore Mayor Sheila Dixon's probation was violated because she fell behind in payments on her court ordered restitution.

In January of 2010 Sheila resigned after being convicted of stealing almost $500 in gift cards that was supposed to be used for needy families.

Part of her guilty plea to embezzlement and perjury charges, she received probation before judgement and was ordered to pay almost $45,000 to charity.

Court records show that although she has paid $19,000 so far, she owes $13, 640 in arrears on her court ordered charitable contributions.

Baltimore's first female mayor is due in court December 7 on the probation violation.
