“Bachelor” star Sean Lowe has vowed that he’s a “born-again virgin” and has no plans to sleep with any of his dates during his reign on the ABC reality show. But one former star of the show doesn’t believe it.
On Jan. 10 the Huffington Post reported that Jillian Harris—star of the fifth season of “The Bachelorette”-- said she’s not buying Sean’s no-sex schtick.
“Sean Lowe said he was not going to have sex? No way,” she said. “He’s a friend of Arie Luyendyk. I’m not saying they are players, but I don’t believe him. If what he is saying is true, then it's a huge mistake. How can you really know if you have met the person if you don't have sex with them? I don’t believe him.”
Harris also said, "He’s not my type -- he looks a little too much like a Ken doll, but he seems nice. I just can’t get over the whole sex thing. What happens if he doesn't meet the right person -- he just won’t have sex until he does? This is crazy, as it's a huge part of a healthy relationship."
The former “Bachelorette” star’s try-before-you-buy policy didn’t exactly work out for her, though. Jillian and her final pick from the show, Ed Swiderski, split in 2010. Meanwhile, Swiderski’s bedroom antics were showcased during last season of the summer reality romp, “Bachelor Pad,” when he engaged in a series of hookups with women on that show.
On last season’s edition of “The Bachelorette,” Sean Lowe opted not to spend the night with Emily Maynard during their “overnight date.”
According to Christian Post, the Dallas entrepreneur, who has rededicated his life to God, brought a Bible and a devotional book with him to “The Bachelorette” taping, and he even shared readings with some of the other guys.
A report from Star magazine reveals that Sean’s season of the show will include overnight dates, but there is “definitely no sex.”
In the Philadelphia area, '"The Bachelor" airs on Mondays at 8:00 PM on WPVI Channel 6.
