Former “Bachelorette” star Jillian Harris knows the pressures that Juan Pablo is experiencing on the show. She knows that every detail is being analyzed by viewers and that he is criticized for not handling the situation with Andi Dorfman as people had hoped. Of course, she already knew that she wanted to leave him, so it wasn’t because she was hoping he would say the right things. And while the rest of the world turned on him, Harris is coming to his defense. According to a new Radar Online report published on Feb. 28, former “Bachelorette” star Jillian Harris is now revealing that Juan Pablo is different from anyone who has ever been on the show.

“It’s a difficult position to be in for him,” she told the website after Jef Holm came out and bashed Juan Pablo. “Just being on the show and being in the public eye, I’ve realized how quickly people are to judge and how awful it feels when people say mean things.” Of course, he went on the show to see if he could find a fit, but Harris admits that he should be overprotective because he has a daughter.

“I don’t think he is like all of the other Bachelors and Bachelorettes,” she said. “I don’t think he is like the rest of the family.” One has to wonder if he will be accepted to all of the “Bachelor” events they have, because he has been slammed by so many of the former contestants. “I don’t think that he’s selfish or all the different names that people have called him,” Harris said. “I just think that he is really independent and strong minded in his independence.”

But she does have a point. People are watching because they want to know what happens. They are not watching because they hate him. They are watching because they are invested in his journey and they want to see how it all ends up. Do you think Juan Pablo is misunderstood?
