Former "Bachelor" winner Shayne Lamas, 28, is reportedly in a coma after a pregnancy complication. TMZ reports that Lamas was 16 weeks pregnant and lost the baby during emergency surgery.

This is Lamas' second child with her husband, Nik Richie, co-founder of celebrity site The Dirty.

Lamas, who was the winner of Matt Grant's season of the "Bachelor" in 2008, was reportedly rushed to the hospital on Sunday, Feb. 9, 2014.

Paramedics were called to the couple's Orange County home on Sunday after Lamas collapsed. Once at the hospital, doctors found that she was bleeding internally and lost the baby during surgery.

TMZ states that Lamas is currently in a coma and cannot breathe on her own. Her father, actor Lorenzo Lamas, and her husband Nik are said to be by her side.

At last report, doctors have indicated that they are "optimistic" about her recovery.

In addition to being picked as the winning contestant on "The Bachelor: London Calling" in 2008, Lamas also played a young Carly Corinthos on General Hospital in 2005. In 2012 she was on the reality show, "Couples Therapy."
