Former anorexic Tara Reid starves on one meal daily and 'gallons of diet Coke'

Famed for her plastic surgery fixation, "Sharknado" star Tara Reid has become obsessed with losing weight. Hoping for a quick fix, she's adapted a dangerous diet that puts her health in jeopardy, reported the Belfast Telegraph on Dec. 7.

"She survives on one meal a day and drinks gallons of Diet Coke and sparkling water, claiming it keeps her hunger at bay and that the bubbles fill her up," a source told Closer magazine.

However, Tara sometimes can't handle the desire for food. Unfortunately, her choices are all wrong.

"On some days she’ll wolf down pizza or ice cream," added the source, according to Xpose Entertainment on Dec. 7.

"Tara is a mess. She's painfully skinny, but her weight fluctuates - she lives a party lifestyle, then crash diets before holidays," revealed the insider.

As a result of that crash diet, Tara has lost so much weight that her implants are sagging.

"Her bum implants now sag a bit as she's lost so much weight," observed the source.

"She's always wanted quick weight-loss fixes so, instead of exercising, she just won't eat proper meals for two weeks."

Tara previously battled anorexia after breaking up with then-fiance Carson Daly, according to Buzzfeed. However, she has repeatedly discounted claims that she's too thin.

“I’m not too thin,” Tara told OK! magazine. “I go up 10 pounds, I go down 10 pounds.”

However, the New York Times reports that symptoms of anorexia, including the return of the eating disorder, include "an intense fear of weight gain, even when they are underweight." Among the symptoms: Dieting too much.
