Recently launched Premium Beauty collection by Forever 21 has caused a controversy among loyal brand followers as the hype behind the latest product debut has left an underwhelming presentation of not so ‘premium’ color selections.

Cultivating an identity as a one stop shop for designer fashion and accessories for less has brought an international following for the trendy franchise however, some may argue that the branding of Forever 21 has began to lean toward the ridiculous with this recent beauty release.

It hard to believe the statement that the mediocre color payoff and shade selection of the eye, lip gloss, cheek stains and complexion makeup was ‘made by designer cosmetic brands’ as listed on Claiming to have ‘quality, high end ingredients’ is also an ironic statement as a full listing of ingredients is not accessible anywhere online. Although the Creamy Lipstick seems to be the only product to provide a comfortable texture, wide shade range and impressive pigments, at $8.80 there are a multitude of established drugstore brands offering better pricing and smoother textures.
