Forever 21 celebrates 30 years of fast fashion

April 21, 2014 marked the 30th anniversary of Forever 21. In 1984, founder and CEO Don Chang, along with his wife, had a vision to bring fashion to the masses. Mr. Chang started close to home with a 900 sq. ft. store called Fashion 21 in Highland Park, CA. Fast-forward 30 years, over 20 countries, 600+ stores, and Forever 21 is now counted among the most-loved and most-shopped fast-fashion destinations in the world.

"We're thrilled to be celebrating our 30th Anniversary," said Don Chang, "What started out 30 years ago as a single location retail store has grown into a business far exceeding our expectations; we are very proud of this accomplishment and beyond grateful to our customers and employees who helped us along this journey."

The fast-fashion retailer will kick-off birthday events all over the U.S and Canada with a 30th Anniversary Instagram Challenge starting April 21 through May 11. The grand prize winner will receive a dream wardrobe for a year valued up to $3,000, and 29 winners will each receive a $1,200 Forever 21 Gift Card. On April 21, free lip gloss will be gifted to in-store purchases of $35 or more and free shipping will be offered for all online purchases of $30 or more. Happy Anniversary!
