The U.S. Forest Service (USFS) is seeking comments on how it can improve the way it improves its ways. USFS is asking for suggestions for revising the form officially known as the Generic Clearance for the Collection of Qualitative Feedback on Agency Service Delivery.
USFS announced on Tuesday, March 4 that it is not proposing any changes but will accept suggestions until May 5.
Current authorization for the form expires July 31 and USFS needs permission from the Office of Management & Budget to continue using it.
Users of USFS facilities provide information – not just statistics --- that the agency can use to improve its services. People can comment on anything from the timeliness and accuracy of information USFS provides to the courtesy of employees and how well the agency does its job.
People fill out the form voluntarily. It can take anywhere from a minute to an hour, depending on what people want to say. USFS gets about 3.5 million responses a year.
