Forest Service committee to discuss planning rule (Video)


The National Advisory Committee for Implementation of the National Forest System Land Management Planning Rule scheduled a meeting in Albuquerque, NM to discuss the new planning rule.

The committee met once before to discuss the rule.

The upcoming meeting will discuss what topics to focus on and what the committee can recommend in terms of implementing the rule. The committee will define its work plan, consider breaking into smaller groups to handle specific tasks and discuss administrative matters.
It plans to hear from people who have tried to implement the new rule so far.

The public is welcome to attend the four-day meeting, which takes place between Tuesday, Feb. 19 and Friday, Feb. 22 from 9 to 5 each day.

The meeting takes place at the Albuquerque Service Center Academy,4000 Masthead NE, Albuquerque, NM 87109, Rooms 131-133.
